Hello and welcome to my first blog post! I'm not fully sure what to start with so I figured I would just write about what life looks like right now.
I am currently 34 weeks pregnant and definitely ready for baby boy to be here already! It gets harder and harder everyday to do normal things. Luke and I are so ready to see his sweet face. We go for our final ultrasound in about 3 weeks and I'm so anxious to see how big they say he is! At my 22 week ultrasound he was measuring ahead about a week but they said that could change since it was still early. I am definitely curious if he's still measuring ahead or if he slowed down.
Spring has finally sprung here in Central Illinois. The grass has greened up and almost needs to be cut. I usually enjoy mowing our grass in the summer but for obvious reasons will not be doing that this year (sorry hubby!) My lilac bushes have started to bud and I cannot wait for them to bloom! Lilacs are my favorite flower in the world! The sweet smell is just the best. Luke has been working so hard to clean up the row of bushes and trees along a fence that we have because everything was so overgrown. It looks so much better now and I'm curious to see if the lilac bushes bloom better than last year since they got cleaned up.
Back in February we got 25 chicks to add to our flock. We had 8 chickens and 1 rooster (who was not supposed to be a rooster - we were just lucky to end up with him I guess lol) that we got last year. We are just waiting for the new chicks to get a little bigger and then we'll introduce them to the rest of the chickens. I'm sure they will be very happy once they can roam around the yard all day and eat bugs and whatever else they can find like the older hens.
That's about all I can think of right now. I'm hoping to do a little DIY/crafting project in the next couple days and will write a post about it if I do so stay tuned!
Have a great day!
Ally
